Kiwi in Covent Garden

Yesterday, on my way to work, I came across this Kiwi installation early in the morning when the place is not busy at all.
It was weird because it was the first time I was seeing a “shoeshine boy”. In my imagination they were representative of the Victorian time. It appears to me as incongruous.
I agree that this is the best way of demonstrating the product but I was thinking they’d rather should do something to help these people…
…maybe they are?…
