Political comparison site

I remember writing this essay at University: is cultural marketing any different than classic marketing? And then I’ve seen this article in the Brainstroming’s newsletter: A comparison site: comparer.com (probably a new one) is going to prove this point: ‘with comparer.com you can compare everything’ so they are comparing the candidates to the next French election! So is political marketing any different than classic marketing?

Well they try to present each candidate quite objectively: number of kids, education, for or against the European constitution, for a against soft drug, for or against Turkey in Europe, for or against homosexual’s marriage and kids adoption… but also religion…

You can choose 5 candidates and observe their differences. When I wanted to add another candidate, a pop up told me: ‘you can only pick up 5 items’! So I guess this mean that political marketing is like any other kind of marketing?

Interesting anyway, people are only looking for shortcuts: how can I make the right choice, or at least not a wrong one without spending too much time reading about macro and micro economy, societal issues…
