Never ending sun

This is why I love digital. I randomly came across this interesting project while catching up with my 852 RSS feeds! (I am actually back from hols)

I discovered a comment on John Griffiths’ blog (screen grab below).

I firstly thought this was just another example of someone who doesn’t know how to approach bloggers (in a slightly less corporate way!). Well I still think this is the case but I checked the site out and really liked the concept:

What Are We Going To Do?
Time is divided into 24 time zones and has a specific time of sunrise everyday. We need sunrises all over the world , we want them all, yes, all! We need thousands of supports out there!!!
After collecting sunrises from all time zones. We are going to broadcast it somewhere in live. Listen, it’s LIVE!

What We Expect?
Our optimistic outcome is installing 24 screens to display the sunrises around the Earth. The screens will be aligned vertically so the Sun will keep rising from screen to screen, from bottom to top vertically. This ‘never ending sun’ will last for 24 hours in a day!”

This is an interesting use of both real life and digital activities I therefore decided to support the project and to blog about it.

It doesn’t matter if they spammed bloggers because as Russell said:
