Gondry rebuilds the Internet

I can’t wait for Michel Gondry next film: Be Kind Rewind. The entire film is an ode to User Generated Content! (Or sweding as they call it on the film)

The promotion of the film online is just brilliant; they have used exactly the same storytelling than the movie. The entire Internet has been magnetised and… erased. Amateur versions of Google, YouTube and ‘swede yourself’ offer a nice and clever digital experience to people.
Even though they could have push the concept even further and for instance enable people to have more amateur versions of sites, giving them the possibility to submit their own film versions… this is nonetheless one of the best digital thing I’ve came across in ages. (With the very good Never ending website from Poke)
